The Project road “Construction of two lane with paved shoulders from Km. 0.00 to Km. 80.00 of NH-548B (Vijayapura-Sankeshwar section) in the State of Karnataka on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) “ is located in Karnataka, the third largest state in India. The state is bounded by Maharashtra and Goa States in the North and North- West; by the Arabian Sea in the West; by Kerala and Tamilnadu states in the south and by the state of Andhra Pradesh in the east. The existing road serves to transport the agriculture, commercial and Industrial goods. The transport goods from neighboring state of Goa moving towards Hyderabad Karnataka region ply on this road. The road provides connectivity to tourist & Heritage centers of Vijayapura and subsequently to Aihole, Pattadkallu, Badami at one end and to Goa, Kolhapur etc on the other end.
